The ultimate fireside blanket
We’ve all been there: you’re sitting by the fire, staring contentedly into the embers, when a log crackles and pops – sending sparks flying into the air and onto your expensive down jacket. It’s the one downside of time by the campfire, or what Japanese brand Snow Peak calls ‘Takibi time’ (‘takibi’ being ‘bonfire’ in Japanese). Fortunately, they’ve teamed up with another of our favourite brands, Portland-based comfort specialists Rumpl, to create a flame-resistant camp blanket. The top of the Takibi Blanket is made of a proprietary recycled fire-resistant ripstop material that incorporates aramid, a heat-resistant fibre commonly found in firefighter uniforms. This hard-wearing shell protects the fill, comprised of Rumpl’s 100% post-consumer recycled NanoLoft synthetic insulation. The result? A soft, durable and functional blanket that will become your new go-to campfire companion, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the fire and less time worrying about flying sparks

This Rumpl blanket is machine washable. We recommend using a front loading washing machine on warm, and adding in Granger’s Performance Wash for the best cleaning and re-energizing of the DWR and water resistance. Hang dry or toss in the dryer on tumble low / no heat

Rumpl blankets are the original premium outdoor blankets. They were dreamed up by a couple of Californian campers who loved their sleeping bags so much that they decided to take the same high-performance fabrics and fills and create a range of super-versatile blankets – something that was equally at home whether you were camping out in the wilderness or slobbing out on the couch. Warm, comfortable and snugger than that bug in his rug? Damn right. You won’t find a better blanket.
