Drawn from the islands, a timeless raincoat of Swedish style and function
Stockholm is a city of islands, braided by inlets and linked by a long history of sea trade and fishing. Now, it’s also revered as a hub of sleek, minimalist design. Stutterheim’s founder, Alexander Stutterheim, draws both together with his timeless jackets. After finding his grandfather’s old raincoat in a barn on the Swedish island of Arholma in the Baltic Sea, he took the key elements of the jacket – its timelessness, durability and wet-weather protection – and used them as inspiration for the brand’s signature coats. The Mosebacke is a more feminine version of their straight-cut unisex Stockholm jacket with an A-line cut for a flowing silhouette and comfortable fit. Yet, constructed from a unique 530gsm rubberised-cotton with thermally welded seams, it’s also totally weatherproof. Elegant Swedish style, timeless look and functionality born of a centuries long heritage – that’s the Mosebacke.
